Welcome to Backcourt. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Backcourt website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Backcourt (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using Backcourt you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The Service

Backcourt is a fantasy basketball platform for the WNBA and, in the future, other women’s basketball leagues. The Service is currently offered as a free beta and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove functionality at any time. Backcourt is a game of skill for entertainment; it does not offer real-money wagering or gambling.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; harass, abuse, or harm other users; upload content that is offensive, infringing, or otherwise objectionable; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; interfere with or disrupt the Service; or use automated means to scrape or exploit the Service. League names, team names, notes, and other content you submit must comply with our community standards, and we may remove content or restrict accounts that violate them.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content we provide, is owned by Backcourt and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you submit, and you grant us a non-exclusive license to use it as needed to operate the Service.

Third-Party Content and Data

Backcourt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the WNBA, Unrivaled, or any team, player, or league. Player and game statistics are sourced from third-party providers and are offered without warranty of accuracy or availability. Team names and marks referenced in the Service belong to their respective owners.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that statistics, scoring, or standings will be accurate at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Backcourt will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Backcourt is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
